I have to say this is the best student reed I have ever tried. Most student reeds i tried else where have a poor sound projection.

student reed is different. It's not a pro reed for sure but it has the great projection of a pro reed while maintaining the ease of playing of a
beginner's reed. So if you are a beginning oboist and want to have a reed that is easy to play and sound good at the same time then this is the reed
to buy.
I've always played on pro reeds but sometimes when i'm tired and dont have the energy I just put my Rookie reed in my oboe and play. I
recently recorded myself playing on this reed and on another pro reed and when I played back the recording I couldn't tell the difference!
